Boozer?

I have proposed a trade that can make both the Jazz and Bucks better

Milwaukee gets Boozer, harpring, and CJ Miles

jazz get Redd, Thomas, and Jodie Meeks

The Bucks get the low post scorer they desperately need

Jazz get one of the top sharp shooters in the NBA, a fantastic scorer, and a good defender. They also get a great role player in Thomas and depth at sg with Meeks

look at the Bucks possible lineup

Brandon Jennings

Carlos Delfino

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute

Boozer

Bogut

Jazz possible lineup

Deron williams

Redd

Andre kirelenko

Millsap

Okur

I do this trade in a heartbeat

But I don’t think the Jazz would touch it.

I think so actually

because they would get rid of a useless player in Harpring and get Kurt Thomas as a key role player, and they add a great scorer and great defender in redd

I don't think anyone's sure what Redd is right now

He was a great scorer, and hopefully he can be that again, but I’m sure teams will need to see him healthy and producing consistently before they commit to two years and $35 million. And hes never been better than average defensively, usually worse than that, so I don’t think anyone can expect much on that end from him at this point.

I agree with Frank

Of course Milwaukee does this, but why would Utah?

They've kind of been wanting to ditch Boozer

He’s expensive, and they prefer Paul Milsap

Yeah I know

But for Redd who has 18 million in a player option and makes about 5 million more than Boozer this season? I don’t know to be honest. I looked over the whole trade proposal, and it saves the Jazz about 500K (or a million when you factor in luxury tax) of money this season, but it also suggest that Redd will opt out of his contract this summer to be a Free Agent. I don’t think Utah would be willing to take that chance honestly.

Since when is Mike Redd even a remotely decent defender?

Are we even talking about the same person?

On top of that, he got fat. Nobody actually wants him.

Be cool, and relax. Take a breath, take ten paces back.

Does anyone else care that Boozer's contract is up after the season?

And Milwaukee isn’t known for ponying up cash for free agents? Well, at least good ones.

The fact that Boozer’s actually good is gravy—even if he’s just an expiring deal I think the Bucks should be happy to dump Redd’s $18.3 million salary next year. I’d expect Boozer to be gone by the summer, but then you’d at least have cap space to sign somebody. I don’t think the Bucks can get a great player or anything with it, but it’d be nice if Hammond would at least have the MLE at his disposal.

Is Redd worth anything?

Boozer? Hibbert? anybody. The Bucks need to be shopping Redd aggressively. Just to see what he’s worth right now. Unfortunately, right now he’s probably not worth much. The Buck’s are going to have to suffer and get him back into the mix if he is going to have any value. It might not be worth it. Getting something for Redd vs. maybe destroying all of the progress? Maybe they should just cut there losses and get what they can even if it does seem uneven.

He has value I know he does

too much talent and skills
He just has to get back into game shape and practice
He will get back to all star form and then you could trade him at the deadline

All Star?

Never again. Redd is too weak and injury prone to be considered valuable for the money he’s earning. Unfortunately, we have to hope a team needs a scorer that’s mainly a three point threat at the deadline. Only way we pull off a trade. He’ll never be better than what Ray Allen is now for the rest of his career.

too good to be true

The Bucks would have to include Luc Mbaute for the Jazz to even think about it. And at that point I’m out, because Boozer wouldn’t be here beyond this year anyway (and Redd’s expiring contract will be enough of a commodity next year where we won’t have to bribe teams to take him with a good young player like Luc M).

I’m guessing Hammond would trade Redd for any combination of expiring deals at this point, so long as he doesn’t have to give up anything in our long term plans (Bogut, BJ, Luc M).
