Don't mean to hate on Eddie Doucette, but...

He keeps talking about how Bowen and Kurt Thomas won’t score enough to make up for RJ/Charlie…um, they’re probably not even going to be on the team, Eddie.

Amir really big in that period—13 pts, 6 boards and two blocks. Guys are looking to get him the ball down low and he’s finishing or getting fouled.

Jennings quiet on the scoring front (1/4) but again marshaling the offense well with six assists and two turnovers. He’s also somehow got six boards.

Joe started slowly but now has 12, really just in-the-flow type stuff. Couple mid-range jumpers, a tough turn-around along the baseline, a layup from Jennings, and a putback.

Another Solid Defensive Performance - Leads To Another Win

Held the Bulls to 35% from the field

The one weak spot was that the Bulls got way to many offensive rebounds. The Bulls size advantage helped contribute to that.

Balanced scoring among the starters. Jennings is starting to work well with Johnson getting him the ball in the lane leading either to a bucket and/or free throws.

Toronto up tomorrow The baby Raptors are averaging 89 ppg and giving up 88 ppg.

Bucks are giving up only 71 ppg.

Should be interesting

FINALLY

some love from Thorpe: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-42-81/David-Thorpe-Tweeting-From-Summer-League.html

Among the accolades:

“Jennings is a very willing passer. If he just keeps his mouth shut and his eyes clear, Skiles will help him become a hell of a player.”

“Joe Alexander is getting to the ft line and playing productively. Again. That is a tremendous sign.”

“[Bulls’ forward James] Johnson now 3-14. But to his defense, he’s facing the Iceman. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.”

I always expect the worst when I hear Thorpe is talking about the Bucks…but this week has been encouraging.

Recap?

any chance of getting a recap today?

by jeffreb on Jul 15, 2009 11:52 PM CDT reply actions

hopefully later...

Got tied up with work into the wee hours of last night, hence the lack of updates. I did catch the game, which was another encouraging performance. Amir looked really active, Joe had another solid game and Jennings seems like he’s settled into a comfort zone.

haha, is it too early to jump onto Jennings-Meeks new bucks bandwagon?

woot, thorpe has joined me on the bandwagon

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-42-91/You-Know——-Ummm——-Brandon-Jennings.html

jump on the bandwagon…
even if it will crash into the reality of Redd starting, it’s hopefully going to be the future,…
