Eastern Conference All-Stars...
All Star starting lineups have been announced...

Does anyone else find it ridiculous that Iverson made the starting squad?
Iverson in '09:
19 games, 14.4 ppg, 4.4 apg (2.6 TO) - zero double-doubles
Other non-All Star starting PG's in the East:
Rose: 40 games, 19.1 ppg, 6 apg (2.9 TO) - 2 double double's
Jennings: 40 games, 18 ppg, 6.2 apg (2.8 TO) - 1 double double
Rondo: 40 games, 14 ppg, 9.6 apg (2.9 TO) - 18 double-double's

I don’t mind KG being on the team, but I think Bosh should clearly be starting.
Iverson…yeah, that’s a joke. I’d take Rondo first then Rose. Sucks because somebody’s going to get screwed and not make it. What I don’t get is who the people are voting for him…aren’t most real NBA fans pretty cynical about Iverson at this point? Are there just craploads of middle-schoolers voting or something?

I can't remember the last time I heard someone say they were an AI fan
Now all of the sudden he gets more votes then Rondo? Come on now, something’s not right here.
Bogut
Been interesting to see how he’s getting absolutely zero talk for the all-star game. I mean, I GET it—you have to be more than deserving to be an all-star in Milwaukee, and being sub-.500 makes it really tough.
But I’ve seen David Lee, Brook Lopez, and Al Horford all get a lot more talk than Bogut (even Noah!). Do David Lee’s slightly better numbers on offense make up for the huge edge Bogut has on defense? Is Al Horford as a third banana more deserving just because he’s on a good team? Brook Lopez scores more but plays for possibly the worst team in the history of the NBA (and has been outplayed by Bogut twice this season). I think you can make valid arguments either way, but NOBODY seems to making the argument for Bogut.
Bogut Not Jennings
One out-of-this-world game and the rookie is an all-star. Bogut is far more valuable than Jennings, the latter hogging the ball and missing too many shots.
I also feel that Hakim Warrick should be starting; he may be the most valuable player on the Bucks team after Bogut. I watch most games, either live or in person, and am very impressed with Warrick. I also like his big sister, Dionne.
Jennings
I goofed, mis-reading about Brandon being an all-star. He is not, but some Buck should be. Must be the ‘small market.’
Milwaukee is not a small market city. Any city that can draw 3 million baseball fans each year (Brewers), post solid attendance at Buck and Golden Eagle games and support a team (Green Bay Packers) that wouldn’t exist without Milwaukee is no small market.
This is just east coast media bullshit. There are many major league (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL) franchises in areas that have lower metro populations than the Milwaukee area and many larger cities that don’t draw fans like Milwaukee does. You should judge fan support by metro population divided by attendance. If major sports statisticians would do that, Milwaukee would be NUMERO UNO!
The naysayers would comment ‘well, what else is there to do in Milwaukee?’ which is another aboration. I’m from the great CITY of Milwaukee and wish I could afford to live there; but, I’m retired and it’s too expensive for my meager retirement income.
