Tough Choices: Best enhancement to the NBA experience
So we've made it to the last of our three Samsung-sponsored "Enhance your experience" posts, the proceeds of which we're using to send $175 the way of the MACC Fund. See, we're not above selling out, but we at least do it for a good cause.
In any case, let's end with a discussion of the specific ways technology has made our NBA experience better. You can't top the experience of being at the BC, trying to keep up with Squad Six and seeing the game up close. But that doesn't mean our fandom can't benefit from a little enhancement, especially given that many of us live half a world away. So if you could only pick one, which would it be?

My NBA experience can best be enhanced by making my team accessible and free within my own region. You make a fortune in advertising, destroy the mystical quality of the game with bids for naming rights that result in Quicken Loans Arena and Jobing.com Arena and then you coerce me into obtaining cable just so I can watch the game that I love be destroyed with short commercial breaks. That’s why the cheap fouls are called. Dispute leads to review, which leads to commercials. I wish that the NBA didn’t demonstrate time and again that it is in their interest to dilute and cheapen a fantastic product; the greatest basketball league in the world.
Funny part about LP
Is that they don’t even let you watch the regular commercials…so all those breaks are basically for nothing. Never figured out why they do that. I’d love to watch some local Wisconsin commercials now that I’m an out-of-stater…

Agreed
and I wish I could watch the FSN-WI halftime and postgame analysis.
I voted for League Pass
Not that I have signed up to use it, but if I chose to, being ‘half a world away’ becomes less of an issue in getting to see a variety of games, rather than just reading recaps and box-scores on the web. That said, the accessibility of live box scores and play-by-play is what re-introduced me to the NBA (well, except for AB being drafted #1) and kept me immersed and up-to-date (connected).
Squad Six is to the Bucks what beer is to Milwaukee (or anywhere else for that matter)... the catalyst for you doing dumb things in public and not feeling self-conscious!
have to agree with Dave....
when I make my fortune and retire to the beach league pass will be a first investment, but even when I get access to a match I kinda like being on Brewhoop and following games by live box scores and play by play
That," says LeBron, "is for everyone that watches me play. They witness something special. You're all a witness.
