"We have all heard this question before LeBron or Kobe. Obviously both are great and I think the general public is split on who is better, similar to Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. But we are not the general public, since we know more about the NBA. I want to see which side the hard core fans are on. Which hall of fame player do you want on your team, King James or The Black Mamba?"

Kobe
Know your role and shut your hole. If you play on his team for even 4-5 years, you’re guaranteed a ring. He may seem cold and withdrawn off the court, but on the court, he pushes his teammates to be the best they can be, ALWAYS to a fault. But in the end, you get the ring.
Lebron looks like he has more fun, and there is no denying that Lebron is the most physically gifted player the league has possibly ever seen. But for all of his gifts, he doesn’t have the ring. He is more apt to be seen repping his image than pushing/refining those gifts. Breath-taking. Electrifying. Amazing. Spectacular. Lebron.
Cold. Punishing. Demanding. Hard-working. A proven winner. Kobe.
Chicks Dig The Long Ball.
LBJ
I was saying the same thing two years ago when Kobe won MVP…I just think LBJ does more to help you win games. The arguments I hear for Kobe always seem to be more based on the intangible stuff, which just doesn’t impress me as much.
I would however say that LeBron no longer has the excuse of not having a great team around him—maybe he doesn’t have another star like Kobe does (with Pau), but he has a bunch of quality guys who fit well with him. He’s still only 25 and I don’t think there’s any doubt he’ll win titles before he retires, but he doesn’t have built-in excuses antmore.
The Lakers are a better team at almost every spot and have a deeper bench...
People call Phil Jackson the luckiest coach ever… and he is…
But Kobe has to seriously be one of the luckiest players ever… Ride Shaq to 3 titles… Then get another team with an awesome supporting cast… Odom, Bynum, Ariza/Artest, Gasol, and that bench… I mean that is a sweet team w/o him on there…
he is definitely a great player but man he has had more help than any star i can remember
LBJ
Hands down… Put Kobe on the Cavs and that team would be hard-pressed to reach 50 wins…
I think the whole well Kobe has a title is a stupid ass argument as well. Kobe road the most dominant 3-year stretch we have ever seen from a player not named Wilt to the majority of his championships. And while you have to give him credit for last season his team would still be a playoff team without him.
Basically, The Cavs and Lakers are about equal teams but the Lakers without Kobe make the playoffs. The Cavs without LeBron might be able to get to 30 wins….
Kobe, without a doubt
How many rings does Lebron have? How many does Kobe have? Lebron only cares about himself, Kobe gets the best out of his team. Kobe is a winner, Lebron is a cry baby. Kobe is a leader, Lebron is a follower wearing leader’s clothes.
no doubt about it. it’s gotta be Kobe

kobe has had amazing supporting casts every single year of his nba existence….
Look at the 3 years following Shaq departure at Laker teams led by Kobe Bryant…
34 wins(missed playoffs), 45 wins(lost in 1st round), 42 wins(lost in 1st round)… Those supporting casts were still more talented than the one LBJ has had until maybe right now, now that they got Jamison… Remember they didn’t turn it around until they raped Memphis into giving them one of the best big men in the league, Pau Gasol…
LBJ is not only better but by a pretty big margin… he makes his teammates better in a way Kobe can only dream of

James
For the past couple years, really, but definitely now. To date, Kobe has the superior career to James, but so does Duncan, Garnett, etc. But if we are talking about the present (and I’m pretty sure we are, but maybe need some clarification), then James is the pick.
