Bucks/Hawks: The playoff rematch that really isn't
Time: 7:30 pm central
TV: NBA Broadband
It's a rematch from the playoffs! Or...not at all.
Three months after the Bucks took Atlanta to the limit in their first round playoff matchup, the two clubs square off with a decidedly different look in Vegas. The Bucks' roster doesn't feature a single player who suited up against Atlanta in April, while Jeff Teague is the only Atlanta rotation player who's currently in Vegas. Like the Bucks, the Hawks dropped their first two games of summer league by nearly identical 89-85 and 89-84 scorelines.
In contrast to the Bucks, Atlanta actually has guards with NBA talent. First round pick Jordan Crawford is shooting well (.462/.438/.714 for 18.0 ppg in 33 mpg), which is exactly what he's supposed to do, while Teague is also putting up a solid 15.5 ppg but an ugly 6.5 turnovers per contest. They also have some vaguely recognizable big men--Richard Hendrix, Randolph Morris, Jermareo Davidson--to match against Larry Sanders, Tiny Gallon and Darnell Jackson.
Discuss.

Nothing to say
but can’t skip being first.
Thanks to the person who posted the off-hours replays for the Bucks SL games. I’ll tape ’em all.
Get Summer League and you can watch them on demand
It’s only 14.95.

I expect dominance.
Our SL team:

Let’s go!

Who's the white guy behind Jordan?
I know I recognize him, but I can’t think of it….
Tom Gugliotta?

Curious about Crawford

That looked like a clean block.

Sanders has got to keep his hands up and stop swiping down at the ball
That is going to get called everytime.
It's kind of hard to tell what the refs are going to call, to be fair

I wish commentators would quit talking about how well the Bucks did without Redd.
He was horrible when he was playing, the Bucks were better off after he got hurt.
It's the "Redd is a good thing virus"
It spreads from commentator from commentator.

There should be a no full court press rule in summer league.
The Bucks guards are so awful, it isn’t even fair.
Tiny needs to stay the hell away from the 3 point arc
What’s he doing searching for his shot up there? He’s going to drive Skiles crazy.
I know someone here compared Sanders to Garnett one time....

It's fine, this is where NBA officials come from

Seems like any time the ball comes near Sanders on defense there's a turnover...
Now he just needs some buckets…

Whats up guys?
Was trying to watch on broadband, it kind of sucked, lots of pauses and gaps, think I’ll just wait to watch it when they archive it.
From what I saw, Paul Delaney and the Bucks guards still really suck and Larry Sanders has about 6 blocked shots this summer league that were pretty clean but called fouls!!!
Pretty much it.

Think he would have a lot more buckets with a real point guard driving the lane..
on passes or even on missed floaters and stuff, weakside put backs where the guard draws his man.
Those were my thoughts lol

MN
He actually was on the roster last season
Yep, I believe they have him signed for this season too
Though NG’d, I’m sure. Really dominant in the D-League last year, I think he broke the league’s single season blocks record.

Dominic James has to just be crushed
If he had left his 2nd year or 3rd year, he was suppose to go in the lottery. Now he can’t keep up in the SL
Now we're back to where we started.
I wish CDR and Hobson could play.

Doesn't seem like he uses his power that much on offense, he does move people though
on box outs or defense, he can move em right out
He uses it setting picks
Has some decent post moves too, but doesn’t hang in the post enough. Oddly enough tho, he is consistently coming down with the boards
Epic.

Tiny Just Doesn't Get It
When he starts to lose patience and reverts, we can’t afford to have him on this team.
I don't think Tiny can hurt anyone from the end of the bench
Assuming he doesn’t sit on them, obviously.
by Frank Madden on Jul 15, 2010 9:10 PM CDT up reply actions
A lot is about how the players sees the game. When he’s trying to be a team first player, he is utterly clueless. I should back off, it is summer league, but his tendencies will do him no good. Sanders looks awesome.

My main concern is that he may somehow negatively affect Brandon.
