Brockman is a Buck, according to Adrian Wojnarowski
Bucks and Kings have agreed to sign and trade to send Jon Brockman to Milwaukee, sources say.
Bucks are close to acquiring Jon Brockman in sign and trade with Kings for Darnell Jackson and a future 2nd round pick, league source says.
I see Brockman as the banger, rebounding specialist the Bucks have been missing, but this means more moves must be on the way because the Bucks have enough power forwards for two rosters right now:
Drew Gooden 6'10
Larry Sanders 6'11
Ersan Ilyasova 6'10
Luc Richard Mbah A Moute 6'8
Tiny Gallon 6'9
Jon Brockman 6'7
So, who goes, who stays, what is the right blend of players to go into the season?

Tiny on the way outs?

You kinda wonder...
I wouldn’t bet on it, but nothing would surprise me.

I think Ersan & Luc are both in play - I seriously doubt they'd trade Gooden or Sanders
Ersan/Luc are desirable players and should fetch a decent return – maybe an above- average backup PG & 1st round pick?
Who knows/cares what’ll happen w/ Tiny…. I was very unimpressed w/ him in SL – and I doubt he’ll make the team – maybe D league… he could use it, IMO.
Tiny's not going
No way they are going to give up after Summer League and he won’t get much back anyway. I know someone else mentioned on a different thread but my guess would be one or more of Ilyasova/Delfino/LRMAM packaged for something. I mean they gave up nothing for Brockman so it’s not bad that way. Maybe they feel they need an energy guy off the bench, can’t see the point of it really.

The implications are
That we now have a new nickname – The Brockness Monster. From Aykis16 on StR :D

hmm wise and mysterious are the ways of yoda question thee not
"That," says LeBron, "is for everyone that watches me play. They witness something special. You're all a witness."
okay go ahead ;)
hey if Magloire can find a spot on an NBA roster still all bets are off
"That," says LeBron, "is for everyone that watches me play. They witness something special. You're all a witness."
doesnt look promising for anyone named Ersan though...........
the Bucks are kinda in love with Larry Sanders…..an energetic lengthy guy of the bench who can shoot the ball and provide hustle plays
"That," says LeBron, "is for everyone that watches me play. They witness something special. You're all a witness."
Does anyone know what % of 2nd rounders make the roster of the team that drafted them?
I’m just curious…. Thanks
I thought it was 8.35%

Everything about Brockman screams "Skiles"
I’m disappointed that the Kings let Brockman go due to unfortunate circumstances. We are soo loaded at the frontcourt, Brockman would not receive any minutes in Sacramento.
Brockman is not a scrub nor a guy you can shrug off. When he enters on the court, this guy would literally gobbles up every board in his area or at the very least, make the other rebounders work for theirs. Brockman will give the Bucks extra possessions due to his ability to rebound offensively (he lead the L in offensive rebounding rate). Runs like a deer (no pun intended) on the open court and finish plays well. A high character player, very humble, good teammate, easy to approach (from what I heard, he never turns down autographs) and works hard. A very popular player in Sacramento despite playing limited minutes.
He shows flashes that he can hit the mid range J but essentially, whatever he gives offensively is a bonus.
I hate to see Brockman go but he deserves to go on a PO team like the Bucks. Hopefully he can provide the same thing (or if not, more) for you guys. You would instantly love him as a player once you see him working his ass off.

Unfortunately, everything about the Bucks screams “logjam”,

82games
has him 11% of Kings minutes at PF, 4% at center. Amazing he’s that kind of rebounder with a 6’8" wingspan.

and heck the lumberjack bit just does it what with this whole check shirt bit we got going

is this move like swallowing a spider to catch the fly....I wonder
"That," says LeBron, "is for everyone that watches me play. They witness something special. You're all a witness."
I remember seeing Brockman handle Jarvis Varnado like a ragdoll in the NCAA tournament a couple years ago.
Varnado is known as a shotblocker, but Brockman got him into foul trouble early and he was a nonfactor.
One negative stat on Brockman
2.2 pf for 13 mpg. Good if we need Hack-a-Shaq I guess

I think Brockman is a nice 5th spot
But not someone to be in the regular rotation.
He has one high-level talent (rebounding, especially on the offensive end), but his size makes him a defensive liability in spite of his effort and last season he struggled quite a bit finishing inside. Once he learns to finish inside (physical, intelligent players like him generally tend to develop well in that regard) and adds some sort of reliable jumper he can be a rotational player, but he’s not there yet, I don’t think.
Bogut
Gooden
Ilyasova
Sanders
LRMAM (playing primarily as a wing backup)
Brockman
Gallon (D-League)
It doesn’t necessarily means someone has to go, but it makes one of LRMAM or Ilyasova expendable. But Ilyasova is the only real stretch big in the roster, not sure if it makes sense to let him go. I’ve always thought LRMAM should be a wing defender, not someone to be played at the 4 regularly. Maybe they keep him and use some Delfino as a trade bait. Not sure if the roster wouldn’t become too short on perimeter shooting though.
LRMAM, Delfino and Ilyasova are all very good role-players on bargain contracts, they should have very good value on the trade market.
I'm wondering
If they are maybe thinking of keeping Williams and moving Delfino.

I'd hope that they have enough PF's now.
I’m not sure who’s collecting PF’s, but they have a solid collection
Hopefully Hammond isn't in the same mould as Kahn...
…collecting anyone he can who plays his favourite position…
