Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Which lineup are you most looking forward to seeing in the upcoming season?

Since it is the dog days of summer as far as basketball news goes, I thought I would throw out a topic for discussion.

There has been a lot of discussion of this team's depth and versatility and the options it will provide for Skiles.  Which lineup are you most looking forward to seeing Skiles put on the floor this coming season?  This is not to ask who is your starting five, but which lineup would you like to see on the floor and why?

The lineup that intriques me most is after the jump.

Star-divide

C:  Larry Sanders 6'11

PF: Jon Brockman 6'7

SF:  Luc Mbah a Moute 6'8

SG:  Chris Douglas-Roberts  6'7

PG:  Keyon Dooling  6'3

I know that this lineup is highly situational and lacks offensive firepower.  But, if Skiles wants to create chaos on the defensive end of the floor to break an opponent's offensive rhythm, this would be the lineup to go with.  The frontcourt combines Sanders massive wingspan, high revving motor and shotblocking with Brockman's hustle, stout post defense and voracious rebounding, and The Prince's court awareness, defensive versatility, and nose for the ball.  The guard duo of CDR and Dooling would provide quickness, length and tenacity on the defensive end as well.

And I can always cross my fingers that The Prince will expand his offense by dropping that corner three on a consistent basis this year as well.  Hey, it took Bruce Bowen until he got to San Antonio is his late twenties before he could hit that, so why not Luc?

So, what lineup has you jazzed for the coming season?

any lineup with Maggette in it....just interested to see what he can bring and how he fits

Jennings
Salmons
Delfino
Gooden
Bogut

thats a pretty solid starting lineup, with enough firepower on the bench to be pretty good against most teams, really our depth should be a major advantage

Dooling, Maggette, CDR, Sanders, Ersan, Luc, Brockman……

"That," says LeBron, "is for everyone that watches me play. They witness something special. You're all a witness."

actually im excited to see basically any lineup we put out because it will include alot of guys I love to see

and I cant wait to see what Skiles can get out of all these guys

I agree

I really want to know how Maggette does, even if he won’t be a starter. It will be interesting to see if he stops ball movement a lot on the offensive end, and whether he can be an adequate defender.

I want to see

A lineup of (Not starting, of course)

Jennings
CDR
Maggette
Gooden
Bogut

Having Gooden and Maggette playing at the same time is kind of scary for me personally, and I want to see how they do. Basically, It’s the Bucks three “head cases” all in one line up :D disaster?

And any lineup with the Brockness Monster will be a joy to watch.

still Brick's line up interests me alot too!!!

id like to sub in Maggette so there is a legit scoring option that’d make it

Dooling
CDR
Maggette
Brockman
Sanders

very interesting to see that second unit

Strong Balance

Jennings
Salmons
LRMAM
Sanders
Bogut

I wouldn’t mind starting this line-up either, I think it un-jams the log jam so Gooden can play back-up C and Ersan back-up PF, although it’s unlikely, but a LRMAM, Sanders, Bogut frontcourt is a defensive force to be reckoned with, while Bogut, Jennings, and Salmons can provide the necessary offense.

Tough to pick just one...which is nice to say!

Most fascinated by any lineup with Sanders/Bogut out there together.

I'd like to see

More up-tempo offense this year(might be wishful thinking). I think we have the players as well as the depth to run teams ragged, I think there’s lots of line-up combos that would do that, especially when Bogut is resting.

I'm taking my talents to.......The Golden Arches!

Squad Six is to the Bucks what beer is to Milwaukee (or anywhere else for that matter)... the catalyst for you doing dumb things in public and not feeling self-conscious!

Dooling gets the lockout from Dave ;)

Yeah!

As much as I was glad to sign him for a back-up, I’m not what you would call ‘excited’ to see him play (just glad that he will). I didn’t include Gooden for the same reason. Think he’ll be great and just what we need, just not jumping out of my office chair and slapping my monitor in excited anticipation…;)

Ill do the jumping and slapping for Gooden dont worry about it

actually if Dooling is fit and his body is up to it he will be one of those under the radar signings that exceeds expectations, mainly because many people dont have any great expectations…….get it ;)

he was actually quite a good 2nd unit player back in his Orlando days….only thing that was a few seasons now
