I think there's too much drama for him to be staying with CLE.
And i don’t think he’ll go to Miami. I think NJ, just because thay seem to have been left as a major dark horse in this whole shenanigin.

Anybody remember that Cleveland fan who trolled the JSOnline forum during Redd's free agency days?
I can’t remember his name, but this has gotta be a rough night for him.
Just finished watching the Gooden/Salmons presser
Gooden’s surprisingly well spoken.

I'm really curious to see HOW he announces his decision
Is it going to be just a quiet slip in, is he going to be like ’I am going to…" And then they go to commercial?
Maybe they’ll eliminate each team one by one.

yeah... ouch...
you can only blame the Cavs franchise for panicking instantly when they got Lebron and instead of making smart long term decisions they went for it each year with washed up vets… I can’t believe in 7 years they couldn’t even acquire one complimentary piece for him…
They won over 60 games with him
And had he not bombed in the playoffs they probably would have won the title.

About the Miami roster, trying to deflect pressure to win a championship
“I feel like this isn’t a super team. Three guys don’t make a championship team.”
Yeah, so why did he choose it?
He could basically sum his reason up perfectly by showing that one tourism video (We’re not Detroit!)
At least now I have a team in the West AND East to hate.

Well easier for the Bucks to get a 3 seed now...
you gotta figure Miami and Orlando are better than us but otherwise its anyones game…
Who would LRMM guard if hes always on the best player? Bogues on Bosh, LRMM on LBJ and then who guards Wade? Get my point?
LBJ is a dick but the Heat are beasts now…
"I want someone who will, you know, let me put it in or who [will] suck on it." – Donald Sterling
Bogut wouldn't be on Bosh...
Bogut would play on their center to help once other defenders got beat…
A guy like Larry Sanders once he matures would be a perfect defender on Bosh… honestly Gooden would probably be on him… I think Sova would match up well on him as well… Sova would also take him away from the hoop defensively
LRMAM would guard Wade…
I’d put Salmons on LeBron and sag off him… make him take jumpers… the same story as playing LeBron now… if you make him take jumpers sure he might get hot and torch you from out there but he won’t be doing what he is best at which is setting up his teammates… plus it is far from a sure thing that he will be on from outside…
Yeah, Bosh is too quick for Bogut
Gooden’s the starting PF, let him do it. In time Sanders could definitely be an intriguing defender against long PFs like Bosh.
Bucks would pound it inside to Bogut
Against whatever stiff the Heat have down there. Gooden would draw Bosh away from the hoop.
Like Jon Barry said:
If the big three is going to play together, you will not see the same ball dominating play from either Wade or James. They can not win if they both have the same mentality as they had the last seven years.
lol...

Man do I feel bad for Cleveland
That sucks for them. I can imagine what it would be like, having rooted for teams in small media markets all my life. Bosh came out and explicitly said he didn’t want to play there. And LeBron’s ego is so massive that it’s really not surprising that this is how the situation unfolded (the 1-hr ESPN special, making teams court him like a 15th century king, etc.)
I’m glad we have a bunch of hard working players who keep their egos in check along with a solid coach and good GM.

LeBron is such a bad person
Only a completely self absorbed jerk would do something like that on national television. It seems he’s been planning this for years, with Chris Paul set to join in a year. This reeks of tampering, but let’s see the NBA do anything to it’s new dynasty.
It’s a team opposing fans will love to hate. Watch out in New York, Jersey, Chicago and especially Cleveland. Not to mention the Bosh hate in Toronto. Clippers fans won’t have the energy to care.
The whole Eastern conference is torn up because he didn’t join their team and the Bucks look strong. Wouldn’t it be great to play giant slayers?
We have to things Miami doesn’t, an All Star caliber point guard and center. With an athletic, punishing core, we could push the Miami Union. Fear the deer, indeed.
Difficult to wrap your head around this stuff
It’s nice to see star players willing to sacrifice a little money to get together and play for championships. It’s also nice to see these guys who became great friends on the Olympic basketball team deciding to play together.
And yet I find myself not caring at all.
I would probably care a lot more if LeBron had handled this less like an egotistical maniac. The fact that he thinks he’s entitled to huge TV specials just to announce his free agent decision is ridiculous. He hasn’t won anything yet. You don’t see Kobe getting on ESPN and drumming up an hour long special every time he wins a title.
I’ve always liked Wade as a player, since his days at Marquette. I’ll always find myself rooting for him a little and respecting his game. But there’s no way I can pull for Miami in any game this season.

It’s like LBJ’s people wanted to make him look as terrible as possible throughout all this. I’m fascinated by what’s going to happen when he shows up at the Q next fall…he’s gotta be the least-liked player in the NBA next year, right?
LeBron can have a new WWE name then for when he comes to Cleveland...

Holy crap Gilbert is still yakking:
“He has gotten a free pass,” Gilbert said in the interview “People have covered up for [James] for way too long. Tonight we saw who he really is.”
Gilbert also told the AP that James quit on the Cavaliers during each o the last two postseasons, most recently during the second round series against the Boston Celtics.
“He quit,” Gilbert said. “Not just in Game 5, but in Games 2, 4 and 6. Watch the tape. The Boston series was unlike anything in the history of sports for a superstar.”
Link. That’s quite an accusation!

I know that Beasley hasn't lived up to expectations....
But Kahn may have actually made a good deal…. I personally think that in the right system w/ the right coach – he’d be a 20/10 guy….. He has ridiculous talent, but who knows….
Still….. Beasley is a steal for a 2nd rounder, IMO ….. and Minn will be drafting higher than Miami for a long time, so I don’t see how swapping 1sts benefits them…
i agree...
i think Beasley will never live up to his full potential but if he is given the scoring burden on a team he can be moderately effective… if someone can motivate him just a little even more so… all the talent in the world but a weirdo headcase for sure…
i could see 20/10 but i could also see him in jail, rehab, or at home with sever depression issues just as well
one of the most volatile players around honestly….
...in the right system w/ the right coach – he’d be a 20/10 guy...

Just out of curiousity
How many 20/10 guys in the NBA now? Off the top of my head I would say Duncan, Amar’e is close, Dirk and who else?
Last year: Bosh, Z. Randolph, D. Lee
Kinda funny how none of those guys are true superstars.
Dwight was 20/10+ the previous two seasons but only got 18 ppg last year. And Duncan was 18/10, Amare was 23/9, Dirk was 25/8.
STOP all this "they are sacrificing" talk

Jennings on Facebook:
Never run away from your problems, man up. If it was easy we all would have a ring, Lebron did what he had to do I guess, should have been more low-key about it. He just affected alot of ppl in Cleveland, I don’t think he know how much the ppl in Cleveland loved him, it more then basketball to them I think…. Remember the great ones always stuck it out through the hard times. “Kobe” “MJ”…

may have just found his championship contender
Stack too
I expect to see a lot of vets and rooks going to Miami
Chucky Atkins, Anthony Carter/Johnson, KT, Stack, Brad Miller, and then Jon Scheyer, Mikhail Torrance, etc.
I care b/c
1) They are bound to take a lot of the guys we’re looking at as back-up PG’s off the market
2) We have to be able to beat them
How many backup PGs can they sign?
They already have Chalmers, so I assume they’ll sign one or maybe two more.
