I'm really curious to see HOW he announces his decision

Is it going to be just a quiet slip in, is he going to be like ’I am going to…" And then they go to commercial?

Maybe they’ll eliminate each team one by one.

Bogut wouldn't be on Bosh...

Bogut would play on their center to help once other defenders got beat…
A guy like Larry Sanders once he matures would be a perfect defender on Bosh… honestly Gooden would probably be on him… I think Sova would match up well on him as well… Sova would also take him away from the hoop defensively
LRMAM would guard Wade…
I’d put Salmons on LeBron and sag off him… make him take jumpers… the same story as playing LeBron now… if you make him take jumpers sure he might get hot and torch you from out there but he won’t be doing what he is best at which is setting up his teammates… plus it is far from a sure thing that he will be on from outside…

by Superelkman on Jul 9, 2010 9:32 AM CDT up reply actions

Yeah, Bosh is too quick for Bogut

Gooden’s the starting PF, let him do it. In time Sanders could definitely be an intriguing defender against long PFs like Bosh.

by Frank Madden on Jul 9, 2010 9:35 AM CDT up reply actions

Bucks would pound it inside to Bogut

Against whatever stiff the Heat have down there. Gooden would draw Bosh away from the hoop.

If the big three is going to play together, you will not see the same ball dominating play from either Wade or James. They can not win if they both have the same mentality as they had the last seven years.

Man do I feel bad for Cleveland

That sucks for them. I can imagine what it would be like, having rooted for teams in small media markets all my life. Bosh came out and explicitly said he didn’t want to play there. And LeBron’s ego is so massive that it’s really not surprising that this is how the situation unfolded (the 1-hr ESPN special, making teams court him like a 15th century king, etc.)

I’m glad we have a bunch of hard working players who keep their egos in check along with a solid coach and good GM.

LeBron is such a bad person

Only a completely self absorbed jerk would do something like that on national television. It seems he’s been planning this for years, with Chris Paul set to join in a year. This reeks of tampering, but let’s see the NBA do anything to it’s new dynasty.

It’s a team opposing fans will love to hate. Watch out in New York, Jersey, Chicago and especially Cleveland. Not to mention the Bosh hate in Toronto. Clippers fans won’t have the energy to care.

The whole Eastern conference is torn up because he didn’t join their team and the Bucks look strong. Wouldn’t it be great to play giant slayers?

We have to things Miami doesn’t, an All Star caliber point guard and center. With an athletic, punishing core, we could push the Miami Union. Fear the deer, indeed.

Difficult to wrap your head around this stuff

It’s nice to see star players willing to sacrifice a little money to get together and play for championships. It’s also nice to see these guys who became great friends on the Olympic basketball team deciding to play together.

And yet I find myself not caring at all.

I would probably care a lot more if LeBron had handled this less like an egotistical maniac. The fact that he thinks he’s entitled to huge TV specials just to announce his free agent decision is ridiculous. He hasn’t won anything yet. You don’t see Kobe getting on ESPN and drumming up an hour long special every time he wins a title.

I’ve always liked Wade as a player, since his days at Marquette. I’ll always find myself rooting for him a little and respecting his game. But there’s no way I can pull for Miami in any game this season.

Gilbert also told the AP that James quit on the Cavaliers during each o the last two postseasons, most recently during the second round series against the Boston Celtics.

“He quit,” Gilbert said. “Not just in Game 5, but in Games 2, 4 and 6. Watch the tape. The Boston series was unlike anything in the history of sports for a superstar.”

But Kahn may have actually made a good deal…. I personally think that in the right system w/ the right coach – he’d be a 20/10 guy….. He has ridiculous talent, but who knows….

Still….. Beasley is a steal for a 2nd rounder, IMO ….. and Minn will be drafting higher than Miami for a long time, so I don’t see how swapping 1sts benefits them…
