I am usually a man of reason, but when it comes to this year's NBA Draft Lottery (Tuesday, May 17th at 7:30 CT) I am more than willing to do anything I can to possibly improve the Bucks' chances of grabbing a top three pick. They are really going to need the help, because as Frank noted last week the Bucks have a 1.1% chance to get the top pick, a 1.3% chance to get the second pick, and a 1.6 % chance to get the third overall pick. The odds are long, but keep in mind that the event most responsible for the current disparity between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls is a draft lottery miracle in 2008 that landed the Bulls the #1 overall pick (MVP Derrick Rose) despite their scant 1.7% chance of getting that pick prior to the lottery.
John Hammond and company are once again keeping it low key at the lottery, which is perfectly understandable--as the guy whose job it is to put together the team, Hammond isn't exactly excited to be sitting in Secaucus, New Jersey in mid-May. But that's not to say other teams are taking the same route, and it's worth noting that Larry Harris had a few good luck charms with him when the Bucks moved up from sixth to first in 2005. Either way, I plan on working my mojo for the Bucks tomorrow, and I hope you guys will too. I will provide the full details of my planned ritual in the comments, and hopefully you will list your contributions in response. The Bucks need our help, so let's get creative!
PS- Feel free to make up ridiculous potential rituals as well, because I consider this a brief thread for creativity and comedy.
