MadTown's Unofficial Scientifically Inaccurate Guesstimated Partial Mock Draft
Well, here it goes. A very sketchy mock top ten selections draft by yours truly.
Let's just say no trades go down and the draft just plays out, what could happen?
1. Cavs - Kyrie Irving - The consensus around Irving going first overall seems to be growing. The Cavs aren't set with Sessions and Baron Davis and could definitely use a star.
2. Minnesota - Derrick Williams
3. Utah Jazz - Brandon Knight - The Jazz have a need at the point since the departure of Williams and Knight seems like the best option next to Irving.
4. Cavs - Enes Kanter - This is a tossup. If the Cavs go with Derrick Williams, they would likely take one of the many skilled points here. As it is, I see this spot being an open competition between Kanter, Valancunius and Leonard.
5. Raptors - Kemba Walker - Colangelo could surprise everyone with an out of left field International pick, but Waler seems like the best player for the Raptors now and in the future.
6. The Wiz - Kawhi Leonard - He has the skillset and size at his position that teams want. I think the Wizards snap him up.
7. Sacramento Kings - Alec Burks - It looks like there's a civil war going on in Sacto. On one side, the Maloof brothers love Jimmer Fredette. On the other, much of the organization is leaning towards Burks. I fear reason will win out and Bucks fans hearts will break a little as Burks goes seventh.
8. Detroit Pistons - Jan Vesely - Tayshaun Prince and Rip Hamilton are getting old. Dumars hasn't shied from international players in the past.
9. Charlotte Bobcats - Marcus Morris - Of the Morris twins, Marcus looks like a baller ready to make the jump. I think Jordan will see this in him and value his odd skillset highly. He could help to fill the void left by Gerald Wallace's departure.
10. Milwaukee Bucks - Klay Thompson - While I'm not sure that Thompson will be the best player left on the board in the long run, there's no denying that his shooting, especially outside, would help the Bucks mightily. Bonus points that he satisfies Skiles need for ball handlers at every position. If the Bucks trade back, Brooks and Hamilton are realistic options as well, but I'm not sure if they're worth it at 10

Washington is the team that I think could mess things up
And doesn’t help our case for Burks with Valanciunas likely falling. Hoping the Wiz take Vesely then SacTown with Leonard, then it would hinge on the Pistons who might take Morris.
"He always plays like he's a pit bull that hasn't been fed in about a year and that you've got pork chops in your pockets and that's the basketball." Of course, he's Canadian
From what I’ve heard, the Wizards are very high on Vesely and the Kings are very high on both Jimmer and Leonard. I don’t think either of them are particularly likely to grab Burks, but you never know. I’ve seen very little indication that the Bobcats are interested in him, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the Pistons grabbed Valanciunas now that he’s likely to drop from the top picks.

The thing is, I'm not sure that Detroit needs another big
They did take Greg Monroe last year after all. GMs seem resistant to draft a guy at the same position multiple years in a row (minus last decade’s Sonics, who always took a project big). This is Dumars make or break season. I doubt that he goes with a long term project that might not play next year. GMs in Dumars’ position tend to go for players that address positions of need and have the potential for immediate impact. Detroit last year was so desperate for a wing that they signed zombie Mac.

FWIW - I think the GM in Charlottes son was a teammate of Burks @ Col.
And Silas has talked about how they need a 3 point threat [which is more like KT or J Hamilton] – so I wouldn’t be surprised if they go SG/SF @#9.
Totally not Bucks related but I've looked at the top ten for the past couple months
If I were running the Cleveland Cavs, I would take D.Williams with the first pick and then grab Kemba Walker with the 4th pick, I think they are dropping the ball if they take Irving and Kanter. Imagine the fan excitement if the Bucks were bringing in those two dynamic players, that would give them a great foundation to rebuild. Both those players have high upside and could step right into the lineup, maybe they wouldn’t win right away but they would be a lot more interesting and fun to watch.
sounds plausible....depends on how good you feel Irving will be and if you think Williams is more Beasley than beastly ;)
That," says LeBron, "is for everyone that watches me play. They witness something special. You're all a witness.
If the Bucks miss out on Burks @10, I want to do the trade with Houston for 14 + 23 to get Brooks
Squad Six is to the Bucks what beer is to Milwaukee (or anywhere else for that matter)... the catalyst for you doing dumb things in public and not feeling self-conscious!
that would be nice, adding Pat Patterson and maybe Brooks at 14 and still adding somebody at 23 and 40
would be a nice night, not too mention getting rid of Ilysova, Hammy needs to start taking out the trash!
I would go for Jordan Hamilton, I think he has more potential to fit with the Jennings connection and he's a little better on defense (at least he tries)
I honestly think we’ve overvalued our need. If we don’t take Brooks, he could go late in the first round, which is about where he belongs. I’m worried that his tendencies would not work in the backcourt with Jennings and with a small point we need our twos t be especially mean on the defensive end. Brooks has the height, but not the attitude. I was riding the M Wave, but Hamilton seems like the sneaky pick that the Bucks are going to make, though of course I’m down with Alec Burks if he makes it to 14.

Would the Bucks take Valanciunas if he falls to them?
He seems like a risky pick. Huge potential, but he might never play in Milwaukee.
