Yes, this game is really at 10 am CT. The Bobcats are apparently hosting an event for middle-schoolers, hence the ridiculously early start time.

Streaking...the wrong way. The Bucks have two more chances to snap their preseason losing streak: their brunch date with the hapless (right?) Bobcats on Thursday followed by a home tilt on Friday night against the Timberwolves. They then have a whole week off to rest up ahead of their opener on Friday, November 2 in Boston and the home opener the next night against the Cavs.

Injuries. The good news for the Bucks is that Doron Lamb has returned to practice for the first time since tearing a ligament the week before training camp, which is hopefully a strong signal that he'll be ready to play by opening night. Scott Skiles spoke of wanting to get Lamb on the court at some point during the preseason, so we might reasonably hope that Lamb could play some role in today's game or Friday's matchup with the Timberwolves. (UPDATE: Lamb came off the bench late in the first quarter today).

Still no serious talk about Luc Mbah a Moute returning to practice, and factoring in his likely lack of conditioning it's difficult to see him playing a meaningful role in the next couple weeks. That's just my speculation, but given the lack of updates it doesn't seem like a good idea to count on him coming back in the near future.

John Henson is also working his way back with the hope of being ready to play on opening night, though Charles Gardner writes that Skiles isn't going to be taking any chances.

"We want to be careful with it," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. "But he's definitely making progress. We put two weeks initially. I don't know if it will be that long or not. He looks good and the swelling is down."

No game thread today. Given the early start and lack of TV we'll just keep all the commentary for today's game right here.
