And Livingston Is What?

Livingston had a great game. But noone is interviewing him or even talking about what he did.

So why are we not appreciating what he does, the guy is playing his heart out and he is for real.

If you look at points per game, he certainly is not on the top. That however is not the best measure.

We spend way to much time focussing on plays and players who are not contributing.

Then again, maybe he is not a favorite son???

Just sayin.....

He has been great in his role this season

7.6 ppg in 22 mins per is pretty decent scoring average, but the real story is he’s shooting 53% and hasn’t attempted a 3-pointer, which shows that he’s A. not a very good 3-pt shooter and B. he understands he’s not good at shooting and doesn’t waste possessions shooting 3’s which is great for the team.

I like what we’re getting out of him. But when we’ve seen quite a bit of undervalued role players come thru here (some stil on the team), and when you have almost no star power any time Jennings isn’t ballin, then those role players can’t really get it done.

Cause honestly a team who is in title contention this season should be talking to the Bucks about Liv. He’s a great role player who can play 3 positions, including PG, the most importan pos. on the floor. The Lakers (need a PG, and a backup SG) should be offering a 1st rd pick (sadly itd only be in the 20s) for Liv.

Tajh Boyd and Dre' Ellington are the future.
Brandon Jennings; Just keep waiting people.

Livingston is much beloved around these parts

and I’m not really sure why he’s not a bigger topic of conversation. For what he offers, I would give him a nice 3-4 year deal to make him our third guard for a while.

Yeah this is a tough one

Livingston will always have a complicated future. Teams really have to consider that they can’t guarantee him more than 1 year because of his knee. He has to consider that he’s increasing in value every year he’s healthy and improving but if he gets hurt again its his last pay day. He may only want 1 year contracts, especially if he can’t have guarantees or maximum raises annually. The 3 year contract he signed with Charlotte was just so he could possibly get a chance to prove his value and he’s capitalizing on his opportunity. He won’t sign that very team friendly contract again, next time I think it will be 1 year for the highest bidder with playing time to offer.

I said as soon as we got him that i thought by the end of the year he would be a key contributor

i honestly think if we played him more he could be a 16pt 5 reb 5 asst per game player for us

Yes, BUT

his surgically repaired knee cannot handle more than 25 minutes a night on a consistent basis. Quite frankly (in my Stephen A. Smith voice), that’s more than most people who had his injury could hope for.
