Podcast: Talking Drew Gooden 4 MVP And Bucks Lineup Optimization

Milwaukee Bucks PF/C Drew Gooden had seemingly stepped up his game in the absence of Andrew Bogut, and despite playing out of position on most nights he is posting very solid scoring and rebounding numbers even as the Bucks flounder below the playoff threshold. The Drew Gooden 4 MVP movement has arrived, so Steve and Frank discuss his double-edged sword type game in greater detail. Is it really worth it to getting bent out of shape about his defensive lapses or his awkward style?

After that, the conversation moves on to Luc Mbah a Moute (LRMAM) and how the Bucks can better optimize their starting lineup to avoid lackluster starts to games. Is there some simple shuffling that might help the team start contests stronger and finish them with greater authority? Changes involving Mike Dunleavy, Carlos Delfino, Ersan Ilyasova and LRMAM are all considered.

I enjoy the lineup shuffle

Especially with Delfino. The problem is he’s been on his hot streak, and Skiles rides hot streaks until the flame is long gone… Livingston has had some up and down shooting nights, and it seems as if we can’t depend on Jackson for much. Wish there was an easy fix, because all I can see is reset or redo at the moment. After last night, I say see who deserves to stay and who deserves to go

Who turned the light's out?? Because I don't see nobody!

Smartphone link is fixed again. Not sure why it turns to crap after a while.

They need to

Get another center if they wanna do any successful lineup shuffling. Then Gooden could move to PF and Moute could maybe slide to SF which I think is a much more natural position for him.

NO moves needed to make them better NOW

They cannot peacemeal a move here or there in hopes of snagging the 8th seed. Even if they could, it would be pointless and purposeless.
