The draft might still be two weeks away, but at least we know when we'll see the NBA's newest players suiting up for the first time.
After a one-year lockout hiatus, the NBA returns to Las Vegas next month for its annual Summer League beginning Friday, July 13 and running through Sunday, July 22. The Bucks play five games in seven days, including their opener on July 16 against the New Orleans Hornets and presumptive first overall pick Anthony Davis. The full schedule:
July 16 (Mon) vs. New Orleans @9:30 pm - Thomas & Mack Center
July 18 (Wed) vs. Washington @3:00 pm - COX Pavilion
July 19 (Thu) vs. NBA D-League @9:00 pm - COX Pavilion
July 21 (Sat) vs. Boston @9:30 pm - Thomas & Mack Center
July 22 (Sun) vs. Chicago @3:00 pm - COX Pavilion
Along with whomever the Bucks select in the June 28 draft, Tobias Harris, Jon Leuer, Larry Sanders, and Ekpe Udoh would all seem like pretty good bets to be in Vegas, so the Bucks figure to have a pretty fun team--assuming of course they can find some guards to bring the ball up the court.
Expect all games to be available via stream on NBA.com, though if you miss anything we'll of course have you covered. As in previous years, I'll be courtside in Vegas providing game reviews, player analysis and (most importantly) obnoxious commentary.
