Did We Really Overpay for Ersan?

So this week on ESPN insider, they had a 5 segment expose on Big threes. Currently, with BJ, Ellis, and Ersan, the Bucks big three ranks 9 in current big three's and 10 in future big threes. Considering that in PER, Ersan was number 1 in our big three numbers(in fact, he was higher than Bosh, Garnett, Randolph, Boozer, and both Gasols), did we really overpay him for 9 million a year? It seems to me that, once Ellis (most likely) leaves next year, and IF BJ continues to improve, we are one strong 3 away from a solid big three - our current one will not work because 2/3 players are 6'3" or less.

It seems to me that paying 15% of our cap space and 12% of our luxury cap space to a player who, according to these articles is part of a top 10 big three, and is only 25, is not overpaying. I agree that it is a risk, and i buy that maybe the contract was too long, but considering the team option, even then i might disagree...

Thoughts?
