Mondays at the Mecca

The boys over at Bucksketball have a new article up looking for catchy
new nicknames for this season a la "Fear the Dear" to help ignite the
fan base into support for the Bucks. There have been some good ideas,
but I came up with what I think is a pretty awesome promotion

Mondays at the Mecca-

There are 4 home games this season on Mondays vs WAS, UTAH, CHA, and
DEN (all in the second half of the season). None of these games will
draw much support due to the opponents (pretty much anybody not named
CHI, MIA, and LAL is a low draw) and the day of the week. So why not
play these four games at the Historic Mecca?

Mull on that for a minute: 4 Throwback dates with the team and the
fans rocking the smaller, but much louder Arena wearing the throwback
Green and White Smiling-Buck-Spinning-a-Ball shirt/jerseys. Maybe
they would offer throwback concession prices as well (although I doubt
$0.50 beer is a good idea in Milwaukee any day of the week). Either
way, these dates are duds at the BC and unless there are contractual
barriers in place I can't see why this wouldn't work.

Johnny Mac would probably explode from excitement and I can see it
helping to stimulate the casual, older fans into a revamped enthusiasm
for our team that is, hopefully, at this time fighting for a mid-low
playoff spot.

So what do you think O Fellow Followers of the Fawns? Should we
collectively pine for the days of Playoff relavance, short shorts, and
unironic mustaches? Or should we focus on the future and hope the
talent we have assembled is enough to draw Milwaukee's Faithful to the
