The Milwaukee Bucks made the Marquis Daniels signing official on Tuesday, and although the team did not disclose the terms of the deal we know that Daniels received a one-year, fully-guaranteed contract for the veteran's minimum. How much does a nine-year NBA veteran get paid? The sticker price is $1,229,225, but as Frank noted earlier in the week, only $854k (the min for a two year vet) counts against the Bucks' cap number and the league pays the difference. For a guy that has averaged 8.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists over 489 games (113 starts), it's definitely a fair price to fill out the back end of the roster.
On Wednesday the team announced that Daniels will take No. 6 for his jersey, which is Andrew Bogut's old number. This led me to think about possible nicknames for the newest member of the Bucks. I already know Starquis Daniels is a good choice, but a new nickname contender emerged during the latest brainstorming session (courtesy Eric Buenning from Bucksketball):
