In danger of losing a fourth straight game, the Bucks needed a St. Patrick's Day miracle from Monta Ellis to overcome the not-so-mighty Orlando Magic. And what a miracle it was, as Ellis poured in an NBA season-high 25 fourth quarter points and 39 for the game to carry the Bucks to a 115-109 win.
Five threes, 8/10 from the field, and 25 points.
Not bad for a fourth quarter--the best we've seen this season in the NBA, actually---and the best example yet of Monta Ellis' newfound brilliance as a Milwaukee Buck. Ellis piled up a season-best 39 points to help Milwaukee fend off a plucky Magic team that led by 12 with just over six minutes remaining, helping the Bucks snap a three game skid and pull to within three games of the Hawks, Celtics and Bulls for the fifth through sevent spots in the Eastern playoff race.
