NBA Draft 2013: Brew Hoop Community Draft Board - Pick #5

Andy Lyons

The Bucks' crowded frontcourt continues to weigh on the collective Brew Hoop mind. How far will the big guys slide?

The smallish top end of the 2013 draft class continues to dominate the Brew Hoop Draft Board, where the #4 spot goes to Trey Burke, PG, Michigan. Winner of the Naismith College Player of the Year award last season, Burke led a talented Wolverines squad all the way to the NCAA Tournament Championship Game, leaving a few highlights scattered in his wake. He excelled as a true point guard, ranking 23rd in assist rate behind a lot of guys nobody will ever hear of, according to He's a solid 3pt shooter and made 63% of his shots at the rim. His measurements at the Draft Combine have some people worried, however. He's small (about 6'1" in shoes), he's not tremendously athletic, and even his speed underwhelmed a few observers. Because there's nothing truly extraordinary about him, players like C.J. McCollum and Michael Carter-Williams have been kicked around as "superior" point guard prospects. Still, NBA teams love guys who excel in big moments, and Burke showed himself to be a player of great poise who could step up under the highest pressure.

The Brew Hoop Big Board
1. Ben McLemore - SG, Kansas
2. Otto Porter - SF, Georgetown
3. Victor Oladipo - SG, Indiana
4. Trey Burke - PG, Michigan

Pick the player YOU would like the Bucks to select, assuming they were drafting at each position - this ain't no mock draft. That means you can take everything into account: need, fit, floors, ceilings, window treatments, the whole Shabazz shebang.

If the guy you want isn't listed, pick "Write-In" and leave your vote in the comments. Please make your vote clear--something like "My vote for Pick #1 is THIS GUY".
