I'm sitting in the Vegas airport hungover, thinking about Kevin Love. With the recent turmoil in Minnesota and hints of his unhappiness, he may be leaving Minny at some point via trade or free agency. It got me thinking that Love is probably the only true top 10ish young superstar (the latest ESPN player rankings had him at 11 ahead of Blake Griffin and Melo) that the Bucks would have ANY chance to land and keep. Love's game is ridiculous, but what really jumps out at me is it just seems that his style of play would be an AMAZING fit in between Sanders and Giannis, accentuating his many strengths and covering up his weaknesses on D. He would be a double/double machine and that young front line would have the potential for big things for many years to come.
Just throwing this out for fun. Assuming we could extend him to a long term deal beforehand, (obviously that’s a big assumption but let's live in the fantasy for a second), what would it take for the Bucks to land Kevin Love? Would our 2014 first round pick and Henson get it done? Would you do that deal?
Obviously it would be A LOT to give up (and i love Henson), but there are no guarantees in the draft and the opportunity to grab a young superstar coming into his prime does not come around often in the Brew City.
What say you?
