Shooting Guard

John Hammond has consistently said he thinks of Brandon Knight as a PG, probably because of his size, defensive ability and willingness to learn and improve. Brandon has improved his PG play this year but still looks for his own shot more than making it easy for teammates to score. I no longer think of his perfect fit as a 6th man who can provide an offensive spark, or even an undersized two. Brandon seems like the long-term plan at PG. With Wolters backing him up (more size, willingness to learn and improve), I'd say the Bucks are close to set at PG.

The Bucks would ideally fill out the starting front court with the three Tube Men, leaving SG as the empty starting spot. Mayo is not the answer .... or at least this season, pathetic. Certainly if you have the #1 pick, you lean more towards best overall, not need, but both Wiggins and Exum have high ceilings as well. Of course, any of the top 6-8 picks would be an upgrade...

Between Wiggins and Exum, I prefer the latter. He's not as physically talented as Wiggins but holds his own. He's more of a facilitator and assertive on the court, which the Bucks need to (i) get the ball inside for shots in the paint and (ii) give Brandon Knight the ability to hit spot-up shots. Further, Exum and Giannis seem like a fantastic pair. Both are position-less and can handle the ball up the court and pass well, giving less responsibility to Knight to run the offense. From it what appears, they both have good basketball IQ . I imagine Larry Drew could have a lot more movement in the half-court sets with them both in.
