The Jennings Trade

Thought it might be a good time to take a look back at the Bucks/Pistons trade from before this season. In my opinion looking back this trade is outstanding for the bucks. Lets look at the trade from strictly a Knight/Jennings perspective; Jennings 2014 Stats, 17.4 ppg 3.2 rpg 8.0apg 37%fg 78%ft 34%3pt and 2.9 to Knight 2014 Stats, 17 ppg 3.5rpg 5 apg 41%fg 82%ft 34%3pt and 2.67 to Looks pretty similar right? however keep in mind the begining of the year when Knight was hurt the first game of the year. He sat out awhile and definitly was not 100 percent for a couple weeks after that. If you watched you could clearly tell he didnt have the same burst he does now. As of right now I 100% prefer Knight over Jennings. He is a couple inches taller, much stronger, and plays a heck of a lot better defense than Jennings. Knight has a certain toughness to him that i think goes unnoticed at times. Hes not afraid to attack the lane and finish strong at the basket, something Jennings cannot offer. Take a look at Knights last 8 games; Last 8 Averages 22ppg 3rpg 6apg, Also coming off 30pts 8 ast and 0 turnovers against a top 2 defense in Indiana. pretty impressive if you ask me. Another lost art to this trade has been Khris Middleton. He has been nothing but a pleasent suprise. Considered a throw-in for this trade he has impressed. 11ppg shooting 44% from the field and 42% from 3. In a couple years if the bucks improve like i think they will he will be a heck of a 6th man. Bottom line is all we hear about with John Hammond is the bad things he has done. This has been a very good positive trade. Its tough being a GM in his position when the owner wants to make the playoffs every year no matter what the cost. Some of that i believe he couldnt control. However what he always has controlled is the draft, and he has done one hell of a job with that. (besides Joe Alexander) I personally have all the faith in the world on draft day when the bucks make that (hopefully) number 1 pick that Hammond will take the most talented player. Thoughts?
