How frustrating was that game yesterday? I really feel think Bill Self has done the kid a disservice in some ways. He just stood there on the wing. Never moved! Why in the world wasn't he flashing to the high post as Kenny Smith suggested? I realize he could have been more assertive, but I put it on the coach more than Wiggins. He clearly has been told to play the "wing" in that offense. What a shame. He had great flashes. This really worries me about how to truly evaluate him. His defense was outstanding. And I think he could be great. But man, sure would have been nice to see him playing in a more pro-friendly offense. These kids should go to programs that will feature them. If i were a college coach, I'd create a program tailored to making the one-and-dones pro ready. Forget all the mambo-jambo about giving them a "Duke" or "Kansas" experience, a year of being in a top collegiate program....yada, yada...if the NBA won't let them into the draft, then there should be a pro-style program that gets them ready. Wiggins' year at KU did not make him more NBA ready. Thoughts?
Post NCAA tourney, does the draft board change?
