Bucks at Pistons: A Preview Poem

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Tickets to be had for three dollars a pop,

Bucks vs. Pistons, basketball action non-stop?

They’ll be playing tonight, out in old Auburn Hills,

In a Palace that’s seen its fair share of thrills.

Well not really this year, cause, yeah, check their record,

Home or away, Detroit’s terrible this year, my lord.

Coming off of a loss to the god awful Sixers,

The Pistons may be a win granting elixir.

Though a win right now, the Bucks do not need,

With just nine games left as they cling to the lead.

In the lottery race against those guys from Philly,

A win tonight would, to be honest, quite silly.

Josh Smith, B. Jennings, Drummond and Stuckey,

Monroe, and Bynum, and our pal Charlie V.

Their group has some talent, that’s to be sure,

But their play this year though has lead fans to demur.

It’s an interesting group they’ve got there in Detroit,

But one that opponents do often exploit.

So follow along on radio or TV,

Or even Twitter dot com if you’re feeling lazy.

6:30 p.m. Central is when the game begins,

As we move ever closer to getting Andrew Wiggins.
