Bucks PF Targets outside the Lotto

The penultimate positional post, I will now take a look at power forwards. As you will see, there are not many PFs outside the lottery that I really like. Really have my eye on Noah Vonleh but there is zero chance he even falls out of the Top 10 imo. That said I think it is a position of weakness for the Bucks, just don't see them filling it with a guy after 15.

Incumbents-Ersan Ilyasova, John Henson*

1. Clint Capela-Chalon

Height-6'11"

Age-20(as of May 18th)

DX Top 100-#18

Strengths-Great frame, athletic ability, rebounding, shot-blocking, defensive potential, upside

Weaknesses-Needs more strength, struggles offensively, foul prone, poor shooter, not much of a post game

My Take- Interesting prospect, probably a little too high imo, if we go after a PF I would like to see one a little more offensively talented. If he somehow slipped to 31? Different story

CB's Interest Level-3/10

2. Adreian Payne-Michigan State

Height-6'10"

Age-23

DX Top 100-#21

Strengths-Great frame, good finisher, athletic ability, good pick and pop, shooting range, inside game, rebounding

Weaknesses-Needs more strength, ball handling, poor shot release

My Take- Interesting prospect, probably a little too high imo, if we go after a PF I would like to see one a little more offensively talented. If he somehow slipped to 31? Different story. Really liked what Payne did for Lacey Holsworth(hence the picture I chose), it shows something as well. Basically I wouldn't use assets to try to get him but would at 31(which won't happen)

3. Kristaps Porzingis-Sevilla

Height-7'0"

Age-18

DX Top 100-#23

Strengths-Physical tools, offensive skillset, defensive potential, upside, good athlete, good shooting mechanics, rim protection, lateral quickness

Weaknesses-Strength/toughness, defensive rebounding, shooting consistency, finishing, gets moved off the blocks easily

My Take- Not sure I want another tubeman but this guy has huge upside, I think he would be a great Eurostash prospect. Is he the next Dirk? Probably not but his stroke is good, he's pretty athletic and his length is outstanding.

CB's Interest Level-8/10

4. Jarnell Stokes-Tennessee

Height-6'9"

Age-20

DX Top 100-#41

Strengths-Strength/physicality, shooting touch, energy, rebounding, establishing position, experience(20 year old junior),

Weaknesses-Lack of explosiveness, footwork on offense, guarding perimeter 4s, a bit undersized

My Take- Some of you likely know I have been on the Stokes bandwagon for some time now and still am. Think maybe at worst you have a taller Jeff Adrien with a better offensive game . DX has us taking him at #31 now which would be fine with me.

CB's Interest Level-9/10

5. Patric Young-Florida

Height-6'10"

Age-22

DX Top 100-#43

Strengths-NBA-reday body, physicality, motor, athleticism, defensive ability, sets great screens, establishing position on the blocks, lateral quickness, finishing, BBIQ, plays to his strengths

Weaknesses-Rebounding numbers, ball handling, shooting range, offensive limitations, FT shooting, lack of upside

My Take- If we didn't have Sanders, I might be interested as I think Young is a C in the NBA. No range outside of 5 feet. Think he would be great on a contending team in need of defense, Miami, Houston, Portland etc. and will have a decent NBA career.

CB's Interest Level-4/10

Others-Dwight Powell, Rasmus Larsen, Cory Jefferson, Khem Birch

CB's Interest Level-8/10
