Sportscope

I've been looking into this a lot for the upcoming draft. I know the whole astrology thing may scene pretty far fetched, but just give this a read and be open minded about it. I used this website, astro.cafeastrology.com, and looked at my own reading and it was extremely accurate. I would like you guys to do your own birthdays so you can see that this stuff might actually have some truth to it. I went ahead and looked at the horoscopes of numerous NBA stars, busts, and some draft prospects in contention for the Bucks 2nd overall pick. As we all know, your mentality and work ethic are vital to being successful. And this can really give us insight into a players head. Readings may not be 100% accurate because I don't have their exact time of birth, but they are fairly close.

Superstar Characteristics

Michael Jordan

  • While his spirit is lively, it is also cunning. He often acts without thinking, he throws himself into things and exaggerates - and this can bring certain problems. He is nervous and irascible. He can develop others' ideas, while they hesitate - he never does: he presses on.
  • He is independent, autonomous, and has progressive ideas. Weaknesses: an unusual, rebellious and revolutionary spirit.
  • He is frank, honest, full of vigor and ambition. He is strong-willed and powerful at work. He is a little hard on himself but, above all, on others whose capacity for action is not as great.
  • He likes to overcome obstacles, is tough, does not have too many feelings, especially in business.
  • He is serious and methodical in work. He fights to improve his daily life, he is persevering.

Lebron James

  • He is ambitious, has a great capacity for work, has self-confidence and goes to the end of his plans.
  • He is serious, patient, honest, hard-working, orderly. His judgment is good and he thinks things over. He pursues his objectives to the bitter end, usually knowing when to choose the right moment. He is upright and respects the law.
  • Observant, self-controlled, unforgiving, tough, methodical, a researcher, an investigator. Lots of courage, self-assurance and can keep his cool.
  • He is perspicacious, ingenious: he binds intelligence and originality together with genius.
  • He is honest, reserved, circumspect, honorable and strong-willed. Quietly ambitious within the realms of the possible, he likes and takes on responsibility. He can work in the social domain.

Kobe Bryant

  • Convinced of their ideas and strong-willed. He is foresighted and willful. He knows how to trust. He appreciates all the good things in life.
  • He controls his feelings. He has a sense of duty, of self-esteem and is prudent. He can concentrate on a long-term task, manual or intellectual. He perseveres and is serious in everything he does.
  • He wants to know the bottom line, and is good at scoping out a situation and finding answers to problems. In fact, he is a problem-solver, and will spend a lot of time helping others solve problems if need be. Might sometimes come across too strongly or offend sensitive folk with a somewhat authoritative tone. (Smush Parker anyone?)
  • He can put down in writing everything that his imagination and intuition dictates.
  • He is ambitious, has a great capacity for work, has self-confidence and goes to the end of his plans.

NBA Busts

Kwame Brown

  • He is nonchalant, pretentious, full of self-importance. He likes what is beautiful and sometimes ostentatious, and spends lots of money for the sake of appearances. He likes to please and has numerous amorous adventures. He is unfaithful and undergoes tribulations in love.
  • Mars in Libra natives often reflect about things before they act. Decisiveness is not their strong point, but they do, eventually, get things done. Many people with this position procrastinate, generally because they feel the need to weigh all of the alternatives before taking action.
  • Kwame Brown didn't have the devotion or "fire" to be a great player. Plus his complete lack of skill made him become one of the NBA's biggest busts.

Michael Olowakandi

  • When Moon is in hard aspect to Saturn in the natal chart, natives need to learn to trust others more. Fear keeps them from fully enjoying personal relationships, and fear is behind the occasional rigidity that they express. When they let themselves receive nurture or care from others, an inner voice cautions them that it might not be sincere, long-lasting, or enough!
  • He is sometimes indifferent to others, to those who surround him: he is, without thinking, negligent and indecisive. He may "feed" inner restlessness with excesses in gambling, shopping, or other comforts, and his honesty is sometimes a bit elastic. This aspect does not help professional success, especially as he tends to spend more than he earns. Sometimes enthusiastic and gung-ho, and other times indifferent, it can be challenging for others to understand him. Needs to find constructive avenues for his inner restlessness.
  • He is not open to others' ideas, especially if they are free-thinking. He is an egoist and has a narrow mind.
  • Now read this quote Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said about coaching "The Kandi Man", "I have seen this process firsthand. When I coached for the Clippers, I had to deal with Michael Olowokandi, a player who perfectly fit the description "talented but uncoachable." At practice, I would attempt to point out Mr. Olowokandi's faults to him, ones he constantly repeated and resulted in lost possessions for the team or personal fouls that sent him to the bench. His reaction to my attempts to correct his bad habits was to take my input as a personal insult and embarrassment. He told me point-blank that he would not be criticized in front of the team. He stuck to his word and, as a result, had very few successful moments on the court playing the way he wanted to play. He took his place on the list of athletically gifted washouts who have been in and out of the league in the past 10 years."
  • Sounds awfully like the above listed characteristics to me.

Draft Prospects

Jabari Parker

  • He fights to improve his daily life, he is persevering.
  • He is honest and forthright in his dealings with others, and he tends to trust others readily. The possibility of failure does not enter his mind, although success itself is not that important to him.
  • Mars in Leo natives act with their heart. Their ego is tied up with their actions, so that most anything they do becomes a source of great pride. Though some are self-righteous and quarrelsome, the more sophisticated people with this position are kindly leaders.
  • He is good-hearted, generous and has a good character. He likes well-being, comfort, a life without problems. He has good relations with his circle. He is easy to approach. He has a successful married and professional life.
  • It seems that Parker will have a good NBA career, and I don't think anyone really thinks otherwise. He can develop into a team leader like people have been saying. I wouldn't mind if we drafted him.
Dante Exum
  • His plans are realized in a methodical fashion, he works hard to achieve success. He perseveres, achieves his projects through hard work.
  • He likes to direct, is intelligent and is an organizer of the first order.
  • He is ambitious, has a great capacity for work, has self-confidence and goes to the end of his plans.
  • He possesses exceptional energy. He is impulsive but bold. He takes on risky enterprises for the good of the community, with all the energy he possesses. He has a great need of his independence, likes his freedom of action.
  • He likes to overcome obstacles, is tough, does not have too many feelings, especially in business. He is egoistic, violent and stubborn. He does not always make friends.
  • He communicates with feeling, endearing others with words. He is reflective and has one of the best memories around. He feels people out and is quick to pick up emotions and moods. He is discerning and is full of insight, is lucid, and thinks things through. He likes to please and to create a good impression. There can be a strong tendency to be influenced by those around him.
  • He controls his feelings. He has a sense of duty, of self-esteem and is prudent. He can concentrate on a long-term task, manual or intellectual. He perseveres and is serious in everything he does.
  • I saw a lot of good things about Exum. I'm convinced that he should be the #2 pick, regardless of who is available. The only thing that concerns me about him is his longterm commitment to Milwaukee, because we certainly don't have the flash of a large market. The front office really needs to construct a good roster and have a good system in place.
Andrew Wiggins
  • You have a certain amount of patience and enough self-discipline to slowly but surely achieve what you set out to do. Although somewhat undemonstrative, you are generally loyal and responsible people to those you care about. You take your time in most endeavors and generally use a step-by-step approach to most projects--but you steadily reach your goals. You are naturally trustworthy, and you don't have much patience for those who don't show respect for others, who take foolish risks, and who lead disorganized lives.
  • You may be prone to inner tension and negative, self-destructive behavior. When things are going well, you suffer from fears that something will come along to change that. Constantly worrying that the rug will be pulled from under your feet can easily become a self-fulfilling prophecy. You possess tremendous power and strength--when you learn to accept and use that strength, instead of fear it, you can be one of the most effective, insightful, helpful, and healing person around.
  • Many people with this position are outdoorsy types. At the very least, they have a great love for friendly competition. When the going gets tough, these people run away. They don't like to be caught up in routine for too long, and they simply need to escape.
  • Unable to stay in one place, is always ready to risk everything to achieve his goal.
  • He is frank, honest, full of vigor and ambition. He is strong-willed and powerful at work. He is a little hard on himself but, above all, on others whose capacity for action is not as great.
  • You are very giving and generous, but may be a little on the submissive side, or sometimes downright lazy, failing to take the initiative when situations call for it.
  • A great battler. He has so much power, that one thinks nothing can defeat him. His mission in society, in the world means everything to him.
  • Wiggins had the most red flags out of each of the top prospects. While I do believe he will be a good player, I don't know if he's franchise player good. He should be last on our list of prospects to draft.

Bottom Line

Dante Exum or Jabari Parker are the guys I'm going with. Wiggins has some red flags so I would stay away from him.
