Master Plan

Trade Jabari Parker for Andre Drummond. Jabari is extremely talented but his style of play does not fit the Bucks, and there are already 2 young and capable combo forwards of starting caliber on the Bucks in Giannis and Middleton. We have a glaring need at the 5, and Drummond fills that perfectly. He provides for amazing rim protection and also excels in rebounding.

After this trade, the Bucks have a hole on their roster at shooting guard, however I think that a swingman at the 2 would benefit the Bucks more due to their rangier style of defending. The perfect player to complete this roster is Jimmy Butler, and I think that the Bucks should do everything within their power to obtain him. This could mean trading away our first round pick as motivation for also trading away Ilyasova's contract. This should open enough cap space to not only sign Butler to a lucrative deal, but to resign Middleton as well.

In addition to these moves, other roles must be filled on the roster. I think that Plumlee will step in nicely into a larger role if needed to. With these moves, this would most likely mean Giannis would step in as the starting 4, but if Plumlee or Henson were to back him up, it would nicely balance out the roster. Marco Belinelli is looking to cash in this summer and I think the Bucks should be willing to overpay for his skill set, as he would provide a necessary scoring punch that the Bucks are looking for off of the bench, while also providing for excellent three point shooting to spread the floor.

Overall, with these moves, the bucks depth chart would look something like this

PG - Carter-Williams, Bayless, Ennis

SG - Butler, Belinelli, Mayo

SF - Middleton, Dudley, Inglis

PF - Antetokounmpo, Henson, Bryant

C - Drummond, Pachulia, Plumlee

This roster would be the best defensive unit in the entire NBA. Number 1 hands down. The only issue I have with this roster is I would like a stronger back up point guard, but I also think that Bayless has great chemistry with the team and I would not want to mess that up. I also think that players such as Mayo, Ennis, and Plumlee could get bored with their decreased roles, so trading them could be a future necessity. Despite these minor issue, I am very pleased with how this roster has turned out, and even though it's a long shot, I would love to see this happen.
