Milwaukee Bucks guard Jerryd Bayless sustained a left ankle sprain in Monday's matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. It's the same ankle he sprained on Dec. 4 against the Pistons that forced him to miss 11 games.
Bayless took a hard fall in the second quarter after losing his footing and being fouled while running on a fast break. After staying on the ground and holding his ankle in pain, he eventually got up and hobbled to the locker room. Johnny O'Bryant was forced to enter the game to shoot his free-throws, ruling Bayless out for the remainder of the contest, per NBA rules. The Bucks have not provided any further update regarding his injury.
In 23 games (seven starts), Bayless is fourth on the team in scoring at 12 points per game on 44 percent shooting.
