Back in February, we brought you a few quick updates about what was going on at Brew Hoop. Today, we are here to deliver some more updates about the Bucks’ offseason (and what that means for us), some new things we’re going to try out (or try again), and some exciting opportunities that are available here! Let’s go!
Offseason Coverage
The NBA offseason is the best offseason in sports. Not only is there continuing playoff coverage for the teams remaining in the hunt for the Finals, but there’s draft preparations, free agency, trade rumors, and all manner of social media foolishness.
At Brew Hoop, we’ve established a strong precedent of bringing you high-quality original content during the summer. We don’t want summer 2017 to be any different. Here’s what’s in the pipeline so far:
- Bucks’ Best Moments Bracket (underway!)
- Season Player Review
- “Crossroads 2017” — a new multi-part series that will focus in-depth on some of the larger questions facing the Milwaukee Bucks
- 2017 edition of the Brew Hoop Community Draft Board
- A staff Roundtable focused on a full NBA mock draft
- Updating our “Value in the NBA” series to include 2017
- 2017 edition of our “Ranking the Roster” series, closer to the end of the offseason
This list is by no means exhaustive, but it’s what we have planned for you between now and September. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, be sure to let us know!
Expanding “Off-Topic” Threads
Our Brew Hoop, Etc. thread have gotten a great response, and we’ve gotten feedback that you want open forums like that more often.
Starting on Friday night, we’re introducing the “Brew Hoop Night Shift” series, which are daily posts that will publish later in the evening and serve as an open thread for just about every topic, basketball or otherwise.
We will reserve the right to close a Night Shift thread if things get too crazy, or once the season starts back up (and we have actual game coverage going on).
Help Wanted!
Like we discussed a few months ago, Brew Hoop has undergone some significant changes this season. With those changes, we’ve had to bid adieu to some of our favorite people, but we’ve also gotten a chance to add some new favorite people to our team!
As the Bucks are growing towards a bright future, so are we, and Adam and I are on the lookout for talent to add to our squad. So if you want to see your name listed on our Masthead and contribute to the site, be sure to drop us a line at brewhoop@gmail.com or our Twitter.
As always, we’re open for your feedback. Let us know in the comments, or via email, or social media, or stop us in the hallway for a good ol’ in-person chat.
