Bucks.com: Tyler Honeycutt headlines Thursday workout
Head over to Bucks.com for the full low-down on the Bucks' second big workout. The group was headlined by UCLA's athletic swingman Tyler Honeycutt (video), who at this point is likely to be drafted somewhere in between the Bucks' 10th and 40th picks, but they got a good look at him anyway. Interesting player: Though he was a low efficiency scorer overall, the 6'8", 188 pounder can shoot the three (37%), rebounds well for his size (team-high 7.2 rpg), and was a force defensively as well (Pac-10 leading 2.0 bpg). Jim Paschke has video.
The Bucks have two more workouts scheduled for Friday and Saturday, with today's group scheduled to include Oakland big man Keith Benson as well as Gary McGhee, Paul Carter, Pooh Williams, Vlad Moldoveanu, and Bryquis Perine. The 6'11" Benson only weighed 217 pounds in Chicago, but his athleticism, 7'4" wingspan, and college productivity (17.9 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 3.6 bpg, 59% true shooting) has made him a popular sleeper pick in the second round (video). Fun fact: Benson scored 28 in a losing effort against McGhee's Pitt team in the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
