Final Thoughts

  • Before this game, the Bucks had suffered only one loss that could reasonably be called a "blowout". Even in their 12-point defeat in Utah, the Bucks only trailed by as much as 15. Last night's largest deficit was 28. It's difficult to rationalize that as a "good" thing when Milwaukee just keeps losing games, but it's worth considering as a "positive". Now let's just "forget this whole road trip ever happened".
  • Steve Nash's 17 assists are unassailable: that's the sort of performance that typifies the future-Hall-of-Famer's career. But checking the HoopData box score (which includes shot location data) does pull the veil back a bit: 5 of Nash's assists were on shots in the 16-23 ft. range and 6 were on 3-pt shots. Neither are extraordinarily difficult assists to get, you just have to have teammates who can make the shots. Last night, the Suns had little trouble doing so.
