Monta Ellis' Message To Milwaukee Bucks Fans: 'I Will Work Hard To Contribute In Every Way Possible'

So far, so good for the marriage between Monta Ellis and the Milwaukee Bucks. In his debut game against the Golden State Warriors on Friday night, Ellis posted a +33 mark and contributed 18 points on 6-15 shooting to go with four assists, four rebounds and three steals in a breezy 120-98 win. As a follow-up to that solid first impression, he drafted a very classy letter to Milwaukee Bucks fans expressing his excitement about joining the franchise.

In the note to Bucks enthusiasts, Monta said he is "looking forward to contributing to the Bucks organization" and to becoming a part of the community, noting that he already senses "the genuine and caring nature" of the franchise and the city. It's impossible not to like this move. Aside from being a simple and effective PR win, it shows that Monta is ready to embrace the opportunity to become the face of the Bucks' franchise going forward. Perhaps the best line comes when he promises "to help the Milwaukee Bucks compete in the NBA playoffs...in 2012 and for many years to come." Here is Monta Ellis' message, courtesy of NBA.com
