2012 NBA Draft: Brew Hoop Draft Board - Pick #11

New, comment

The race for #9 on the Brew Hoop draft board was decided by a single vote, and I'm not gonna be the guy to call it. So I'm splitting the difference and declaring a "tie". Prospects 9a and 9b are Illionois C Meyers Leonard and Baylor F Perry Jones III. Want size? Both of these guys give it to you in spades, with Leonard measuring out as the tallest prospect in the draft (7-1.25) and Jones boasting major height and length for whichever forward spot he settles into. Two of the more tantalizing guys available, they're also major projects, building hype more through raw ability than a history of success. The same could be said of many of the stars in this league, though. Meyers Leonard fits a clear need for Milwaukee, and he figures to be a capable shot blocker, defender, and rebounder fairly soon. Perry Jones III sports some of the skills of a 6-7 wing in the body of a monster PF. If he pans out like some have speculated, we could be asking why he wasn't a top-3 pick in a few years. That's a HUGE if, but still!
