Let's admit it: we've been spoiled.
Giannis Antetokounmpo's swift ascension from long-term project to the NBA's youngest starter has had us all going gaga, with the 19-year-old Greek displaying an uncommon consistency for a guy who shouldn't even know what he's doing yet.
So while it shouldn't have been shocking to see Giannis lay a rare egg against the Bulls on Friday, it was equally unsurprising to see him bounce back with a stat-stuffing 13 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals against his idol Kevin Durant. We should probably stop short of calling it his best performance--5/12 shooting and 4 turnovers isn't the hallmark of efficiency--but that's also a nice statement about our rising standards, too.
