The NBA announced the field for the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge (formerly the Rookie-Sophomore game) today. The list included Steven Adams, Pero Antic, Harrison Barnes, Bradley Beal, Trey Burke, Michael Carter-Williams, Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, Tim Hardaway Jr., Terrence Jones, Damian Lillard, Kelly Olynyk, Victor Oladipo, Mason Plumlee, Jared Sullinger, Jonas Valanciunas, and Dion Waiters.
Oh, did I forget to mention that GIANNIS was also selected? Just kidding, I would NEVER forget. HOOOOOORAY!
The teams will be split into two teams on February 6th and will square off against each other on Valentine's Day. Speaking of love..

On the flipside of this announcement was the lack of an announcement that John Henson was selected to this game. It's not hard to argue that Henson deserves a spot over a few of the players listed above--Harrison Barnes, seriously?--but hey, the Bucks at least got one.
To sum this all up concisely, cancel your Valentine's Day plans and watch Giannis on the 14th. Don't be foolish.
UPDATE: Check out Bucks.com for a predictably adorable reaction from Giannis at the news.
