Jabari Parker appears to be getting the hang of this whole "NBA basketball" thing.
Three days after scoring 18 points on 12 shots in Cleveland, Parker one-upped himself on Friday with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks against Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and the up-and-coming Timberwolves, including a game-clinching spin-and-slam on Bennett with under a minute remaining. You've probably already seen that play a bunch of times--we've been tweeting, Facebooking, and Vine'ing about it non-stop since Friday night--but you can enjoy another angle of it (over and over again) above. Friday's big night upped Jabari's preseason averages to a team-leading 15.0 points and nearly six rebounds per game, though his 43.5% shooting and 48.5% true shooting marks leave plenty of room for improvement. But whatever...there's plenty of time for that.
Not to be outdone, Giannis Antetokounmpo shook off his rough outing in Cleveland with his own preseason-best performance, scoring 19 points (6/13 fg, 7/7 ft) to go with nine rebounds and two blocks in 31 minutes. You can check out full game highlights and reaction courtesy of Jim Paschke and the Bucks.com crew right here, as well as video of Giannis rising for a baseline slam and reverse layup below.
And how did Jabari celebrate his biggest night yet in an NBA uniform? Well, a flight to New York City was awaiting the Bucks after the game, but not before Parker took time to head back to the arena to meet some kids that had cheered him on. Is there any way you're not loving Jabari Parker right now?
