Preview: Bucks go for undefeated week against banged up Rockets

They also begin a very tough month. We should learn a lot about this team by the end of it.

The Houston Rockets visit Milwaukee tonight, bringing their impressive 12-4 record and second-ranked defense. They will not be bringing a handful of players that helped them achieve those. Backup point guard Isaiah Canaan was the latest to join Houston's injury list last night, one that already included Patrick Beverley, Terrence Jones, and Dwight Howard. The recipe could be just right for the Bucks to notch their fourth win in a row. Let's check in with our friends at The Dream Shake, our SB Nation Rockets blog and see what they think.

"Anyway, I'm pretty sure Houston is getting destroyed tonight. These injuries are stacked too high. With a game against Memphis coming up on Wednesday, the Rockets could soon be falling into a hole."

We'll take it!

Long December. Though it's also the name of a decent Counting Crows song, a long December is what the Bucks could be in for during the next month. After facing the easiest the league's easiest schedule through their first 17 games, the Bucks will start a difficult stretch of games against some of the league's best teams. Starting tonight (which is still November, I know...) the Bucks schedule through the rest of 2014 is as follows:

Houston, at Cleveland,  Dallas, Miami, at Dallas, at Oklahoma City, LA Clippers, at Phoenix, at Portland, at Sacramento, at LA Clippers, Charlotte, at Atlanta, Atlanta, at Charlotte, at Cleveland

Yikes.

None of this is to say that the Bucks 10-7 start isn't impressive. They've played surprisingly well, but this stretch will offer a much stiffer challenge and will be a nice measuring stick going forward. If they continue to do well, great. If they don't, whatever. We'll see how the team navigates through this tough month and pick this discussion back up in 2015. But back to the game at hand.

The Bucks are coming off of a victory in Detroit where the bench dominated and Giannis added to his collection of inhuman highlight plays. With Houston being so banged up, look for Milwaukee to not be afraid to use their depth again. If the bench plays as well as they did last night, this could possibly be another big victory for Milwaukee.

Did we mention that it's also Giannis bobblehead night at the BMOHBC tonight? What more could you want in a Saturday night?
