Bucks POTW-Week #5

Week 5 ended at 3-1 for the week which means we have lots of strong candidates for the POTW for Week #5 right? Ya, not so much, no player really put four good games together, which is likely a product of the depth on the team and the fact no player gets huge minutes. Here are the up-to-date standings

Giannis-18

Knight-16

Ersan-4

Mayo-4

Sanders-4

Parker-2

1. Giannis Antetokuonmpo

Giannis played in all 4 games, averaged 31 mp, and put up 9.8 ppg, 2.5 apg, 7 rpg and 1.8 tpg. He shot 42.5% from 2, 0-4 from 3 and finished with a TS% of 41.0%, as he was only 5-8 from the line.

I'll be honest, Brandon Knight had a better statistical week than Giannis but other than the Tuesday game vs. the pistons didn't really have a lot of impact.

2. Ersan Ilyasova

Ersan is on the board again after his second place last week even though he cooled off a bit.

Ersan finished the week averaging 22 mpg, 16.3 ppg and 6.3 rpg. He shot 41.2% from three(7-17), 54.3% from 2 and finished with a TS of 59% including 6-7 from the line, certainly a great two week stretch for Ers.

3. Jabari Parker

Jabari had a strong finish to the week with perhaps his best game of the season, especially attacking the rim

He also played all 4 games, averaged 31.5 mp, 13 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3.8 apg(black hole indeed)and 1.5 spg. He shot 48.6% from the field(all 2s)and 16-18 from the line for a TS of 57.9%. Looking for more good weeks in the future.
