Although the Milwaukee Bucks played poorly in their preseason home opener against the Detroit Pistons, coach Jason Kidd was quick to put the loss in a positive light.

Kidd described the game as a "good dress rehearsal" for his team, essentially the purpose and best part about preseason basketball. Preseason is great for teams to experiment with different lineups and get their players acclimated with one another.
Based on Saturday's performance, the Bucks definitely need at least a couple more rehearsals, but perhaps that's a given considering the youth of their team and offseason acquisitions. It will take some time, and neither Kidd nor guard Greivis Vasquez — who the Bucks acquired via trade — expressed concern about the team eventually meshing together.
The Bucks' next preseason matchup will be on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. The Cavs will probably sit starters LeBron James, J.R. Smith and Timofey Mozgov, making the game a smaller test for Milwaukee.
