At long last, we've reached the end of this way-too-long countdown. Only two players remain. And every single person here knew exactly which two players would be left when we finally reached this moment.
But first, a vigil for the honored voted-off. Greg Monroe hasn't played a single regular-season game with the Milwaukee Bucks, and yet our readers marked him off as the third-most-valuable player on the team! In terms of pure talent, our vote lines up precisely with ESPN's #NBARank countdown, where Monroe landed in third place on the roster at #47 overall. Whatever qualms anyone may have with Monroe as a player, it's hard to argue too vigorously against a player who averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds last season, tallying a PER over 21 and an RPM of 2.65 (9th among qualified centers).
But it's not just single-season promise that makes Monroe a popular guy around these parts. As the first big-name free agent the Bucks have landed in ages, Monroe has a certain...emotional value? Like when you're really proud of a new car or something, only in this case the car is a living, breathing human who elected to come to Milwaukee, Wisconsin over the likes of New York City and Los Angeles because he thought you were a pretty cool cat. Not to mention the fact that he fits what was the Bucks' biggest long-term need and is only 25 years old. No way are we voting that guy lower than third.
So with that, the last vote is here. Giannis Antetokounmpo. Jabari Parker. Only one can stand alone atop our rankings.
Take note! This final poll asks you to select the MOST valuable player left! Vote for the player you want to take the top spot.
