Well, we've arrived at a tough point in the Bucks schedule. Today is their final game in Vegas and from here we have three months of...nothing. Hopefully something(s), but mostly nothing. So as you read on, kick back and throw on this classic tune.
The Summer Bucks finale will come against the New York Knicks, who were previously undefeated until Golden State easily dispatched of them in tournament play. The Knicks have several popular names on the roster, highlighted by 4th overall pick in June's draft Kristaps Porzingis. New York also worked their way back into the first ground to grab Notre Dame Jerian Grant. Rounding out the intrigue with the Knicks are two high-motor guys (one with a familiar surname) in Maurice Ndour and Thanasis Antetokounmpo. It shouldn't come as a surprise that this team went undefeated in pre-tournament play, given the high number of NBA-level players they've packed onto their roster, so the Bucks will have their hands full if they want to leave the desert on a high note.
As far as NBA level talent on the Bucks roster is concerned, Damien Inglis is already back in Milwaukee working on getting healthy, while Rashad Vaughn will look to keep up his impressive numbers with maybe a little more consistent effort. Jorge Gutierrez, Sean Kilpatrick, Kevin Jones, and Micheal Eric are all at least plausible candidates to stick with the team heading into training camp, so we'll see if they get more of a chance to shine today over Vaughn. We shall see.
We'll have some overall reactions to a few players in the recap, but don't feel like you have to wait for us--sound off on who you've liked or disliked, or just some general opinions of the players below in the comments!
