VIDEO: Giannis Antetokounmpo helps Greece cruise past Czech Republic

Good news, my basketball-starved friends: the weekend has arrived, which means exhibition hoops from Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Greece national team.

The highlights above suggest it was another short and sweet night for the Greek Freak against the Czech Republic on Friday, as Giannis piled up 11 points (5/6 fg, 0/1 threes, 1/3 ft, 2 rebs, 2 blk) in just 12 minutes of Greece's 70-56 win. Among his buckets: two pretty spin moves, a couple of up-and-under moves near the basket, and a long jumper from the corner, in addition to another highlight reel block in transition. Also, we can agree Giannis looks pretty jacked at this point, right? Can we start the NBA season already?

Expect his minutes to tick up once the games begin to count on September 5, but for now coach Fotios Katsikaris seems content to let him dominate for short stretches without wearing him out. Fine with me. Our friend CanadaBucks noted in the comments earlier today that Giannis now has 42 points in 57 minutes of exhibition play -- good for a tidy 26.5 points per 36 minutes. Yowza.

Greece faces Bosnia (again) on Saturday and has one more tournament next weekend before the EuroBasket kicks off September 5.
