And now for the games that matter.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Greek teammates wrapped up their EuroBasket preparations on a high note Saturday, taking care of Lithuania 67-62 to cap off a 3-0 weekend for the hosts and claim the Acropolis Tournament title. Giannis was one of only two Greeks to crack double digits, scoring 10 points (4/7 fg, 1/2 threes) to go with seven rebounds, three blocks, two assists and two steals. Among them: a key three pointer down the stretch that extended Greece's lead to 63-52, as well as a block in the final minute to seal it.
Giannis came off the bench to start, but he made his presence felt and then some in the second half. With the game tied, he went coast-to-coast for a layup and foul, then moments later went the length of the court again, this time opting to dish it off for a lay-up that made it 46-41 Greece.
