After a hotly debated and public battle for the 15th and final roster spot between 8 players, there is only one player left standing: Gerald Green. A few hours after winning the preseason finale against the Detroit Pistons, the Milwaukee Bucks made their final cuts to the roster.
The Bucks have requested waivers on Joel Anthony, Gary Payton II and Brandon Rush. The roster now stands at 15 players.

Heading in to the game, Joel Anthony, Brandon Rush, and Green were on training camp deals while Gary Payton II had a non guaranteed contract. The Milwaukee Bucks had begun preseason with six players on training camp deals, and had slowly cut players one at a time. The other players on training camp deals were Kendall Marshall, James Young, and Xavier Munford.
While Anthony and Rush look to be finished with the Bucks, this most likely paves a way for GP2 to be one of Milwaukee’s two-way contract players allowing him to play for both the Bucks and the Wisconsin Herd who are Milwaukee’s G-League affiliated team.
