Brew Hoop Graveyard Shift: October 19th, 2017

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Today’s (on)topic: BBC Article on the Bucks

The BBC provides a great big picture scope of the current and future state of the Bucks. The European media outlet spent some time, of course, talking about Giannis Antetokounmpo. Having the next European star, let alone league-wide star, on the roster is huge for the Bucks’ international brand:

"We have been able to grow our European appeal and our Asian appeal via Giannis."

This reminds of how English Premier League soccer football clubs market heavily towards Asian fans and explore every marketable avenue within that very highly populated region. There will definitely be a spike in Bucks’ merchandise profit this coming season.

There is still little to update on the stadium naming rights front, however:

The search is on for a stadium naming rights partner, which would pay about $7m a year for 20 years.

I’m still on board with Pabst forking over the dough and then dubbing the new place “The Pabst Palace.” The “Sprecher Center” has a nice ring to it now that I mention it.

Any one have a spare $140 million they can use to put their name on the arena?

(What if someone won the lottery and used that money to buy stadium naming rights? There is no way that would happen, but funny to entertain nonetheless).

Today’s (off)topic: Pumpkin Flavored Food/Drinks

I have only had pumpkin flavored coffee from two places: Dunkin’ Donuts and Wawa, and folks, Wawa’s version of the flavoring was absolutely outstanding. Dunkin’ Donuts’ was way too overpowering whereas Wawa’s was subtle and pleasant.

I recently picked up a six pack of Lakefront Brewery’s Pumpkin Lager and it was very good. I might pick some up this weekend at Woodman’s before it goes away until next October.

For my pie fans let’s be real and admit that pumpkin pie is the GOAT pie.

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
