Brew Hoop Graveyard Shift: October 24th, 2017

New, comments

[suspicious noise from under the bed]

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Today’s (on)topic: Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Hot Start

Four straight games of scoring 30 or more points has helped Giannis surpass Hall of Famer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, for most points scored in the first four games in Bucks history. Kareem set that mark during the 1970-71 championship season and eventually went on to lead the league in scoring at 31.7 points per game. Hopefully a similar fate falls upon the Greek Freak, and Bucks, this year.

This is some fantastic company for Giannis to find himself in and even surpass. He has truly been a marvel to watch throughout the first four games of the season and he shows no sign of slowing down.

How many more consecutive games can he score 30+ points in? Just one more, three more, 78 more?! All of the Giannis and Milwaukee love that has been directed at us the past week has been a beautiful sight to see.

Today’s (off)topic: Unknown Number Calls

I will absolutely refuse to answer a phone call from a number that is not saved in my phone contacts. If a number doesn’t even show up and is listed as “Unknown” then I’m doubly not answering and locking my doors and windows. Does anyone summon the courage to take a phone call from an unfamiliar number?

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
