Brew Hoop Graveyard Shift: October 5th, 2017

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Today’s (on)topic: Bucks Sign Xavier Munford

The Bucks cut James Young last night and are giving former University of Rhode Island great, Xavier Munford, a look. This is an interesting move to bring him on halfway through the pre-season. There’s still a week and some change left before the season starts, so he’ll get some good practice time in. I don’t think he has a legit shot at the 15th roster spot since he is coming so late and Jason Kidd has said he won’t be getting any minutes tomorrow night in Chicago. He is, in my mind, another candidate to snag a two-way contract in what has become a sort of musical chairs scenario.

Today’s (off)topic: Pumpkin Carving

I suck when it comes to carving pumpkins. I can’t draw, so my pre-carve designs look like trash, and I’m bad with a knife, so the actual carved designs look like trash. My favorite part of the process is scooping out all of the seeds and getting that pumpkin scent going throughout the room. My college roommates’ favorite part of carving pumpkins was hurling the pumpkins into the middle of the road on November 1st and watching them explode. Any awesome pumpkin carvers or know of any person/house that always has aesthetically pleasing pumpkins?

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
