Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Today’s (on)topic: Point Forwards
As @waymatth explains in detail, non-traditional point guards can drastically alter an NBA team's spacing: https://t.co/2VyDpbnZ5l pic.twitter.com/lp2vDwvBGM

Really good read here on how traditional forwards are helping maximize their respective teams’ offensive outputs, especially as far as three-pointers are concerned. The clip they use of Giannis Antetokounmpo from the home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers was probably my favorite play he made that entire game. Watching Giannis sling passes to the perimeter when the defense plugs up his drives makes my rotator cuff hurt, but it is always beautiful to see.
I was never on the Ben Simmons bandwagon, but after reading this and letting it digest I can say he is easily my favorite member of the Philadelphia 76ers and I am very much on board. I’m excited to watch the handful of point forward duels he and Giannis will have this season.
Today’s (off)topic: Board Games
I am more of a traditional board game kind of guy. I like Monopoly, Life, Yahtzee, etc. The intricate games like Settlers of Catan and the like do not really interest me. The most complex board game I’ve gotten into was Axis and Allies. I swear I lost an entire weekend playing that in my friend’s basement during winter break one year in college. Any board game aficionados out there?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
