Brew Hoop Night Shift: December 20th, 2017

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Today’s (on)topic: D.J. Wilson Back to the Herd

The Bucks’ first round pick will make his second appearance with the Oshkosh-based Herd. Wilson has yet to see any significant time off the bench this season, averaging three minutes per game. Getting the rookie more burn in a lower stakes environment seems like the correct call, especially since it was no secret on draft night that Wilson needed a few years to become a serviceable NBA player.

The Herd play their only home game of the week tonight before hitting the road, so I would assume that Wilson will don the Herd uniform just once this week. The Bucks host the Charlotte Hornets on Friday and then head to Charlotte for a Saturday night tilt which strengthens the one and done argument.

Today’s (off)topic: Christmas Decorations

I love, love, love when houses get decked out in Christmas decorations, especially with lights. I am always a sucker for those YouTube videos where Christmas lights are synced up to songs. My parents never really get into the holiday spirit by decorating their house but they always hang this bad boy up by the front door:

This is my favorite decoration. I don’t know when my parents realized they identified more with the Christmas Vacation neighbors and not with Clark Griswold, but I’m glad they can lean into it a bit. What are/were some of your favorite holiday decorations?

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
